Xofia

Xofia is a Houston-based startup founded in 2019 that combines artificial intelligence with quantum-based algorithms to implement problem-solving strategies for enterprise applications. Led by Lead Visionary Carlos A. Sanmiguel, a Colombian national with extensive entrepreneurial experience, Xofia aims to offer quantum computing solutions as an as-a-service business model, developing domain-specific software that can be run and tested on dedicated quantum hardware simulators. In September 2019, Atos delivered Quantum-Learning-as-a-Service (QLaaS) to Xofia, providing remote access to the Atos Quantum Learning Machine for quantum-powered AI solution development. Atos provides quantum consulting, training, and system administrator services to Xofia. The company uses Quantum and Classical Information Theoretic Modeling to understand fundamentals of essential systems. In healthcare, Xofia aims to bridge the gap between accurate and affordable image processing by developing quantum-based algorithms for medical imaging that could reduce cost and time while improving accuracy.
