SemiQon is a VTT spinout developing silicon semiconductor quantum processors using quantum dot technology that are scalable, easier to manufacture, and can function at warmer temperatures.
October 2025: SemiQon won the EARTO Innovation Award first prize for their silicon quantum processor technology. Successfully completed first production run and began shipping 4-qubit quantum dot array chips to research partners globally.
2025 Developments: Raised €17.5 million total funding (€2.5M grant + €15M equity from European Innovation Council). Partnership with Conductor Quantum to accelerate silicon-based quantum computing. Focus on affordable, scalable quantum processors using existing semiconductor manufacturing infrastructure.
