About

Diffraqtion is an MIT and University of Maryland spinout developing quantum camera technology for satellite constellations with dramatically faster image processing. The company's quantum imaging technology achieves up to 1,000 times faster processing and 20 times higher resolution than conventional systems, enabling more affordable and precise imaging for applications including space situational awareness, Earth observation, orbital safety, agriculture monitoring, and disaster response. Founded by Johannes Galatsanos (CEO), Christine Wang (CTO), and Professor Saikat Guha (Chief Science Advisor), the company secured $4.2 million in pre-seed funding led by QDNL Participations with participation from milemark•capital, Aether VC, ADIN, and Offline Ventures. Diffraqtion also received recognition including first place at SLUSH 100 ($1.1 million equity prize) and a $100,000 TechConnect award. The company is participating in the U.S. Space Force's Apollo Accelerator program and the foundational research was initially developed with NASA and DARPA support.
